Huey Lewis and The News perform “If This Is It”

They were a better than average bar band with a lead singer that looked like one of your dad’s friends, and they killed it.  Are you a little uncomfortable when a mid-fortysomething in inappropriate beach attire pulls his ex-twentysomething girlfriend away from her conversation with two guys her own age so he can yell at her in public?  Maybe 25 years later you are, but back then, you were just excited to see this video on MTV.

Two important things to note about this video. First, in the 80s, guys who looked like they could pass for one of Steven Keaton’s old college buddies on Family Ties were in heavy rotation on MTV; and second, a white one-piece bathing suit is always hotter than the black bikini.
