Paul Young charted in 1985 with “Every Time You Go Away”
First off, originally a Hall and Oates song, this was the most played song of 1985. That means, not only did Hall and Oates have 12 top ten singles between 1980-84, but then they had this gem too. They owned my childhood musically. Second, when I went to England on a school trip in ‘97, this was on the radio on our tour bus, so I took out my Zippo and waved it around. When my buddy asked for it to light his cigarette, it was empty, too much Paul Young. Finally, do I need to say anything about that mullet? It’s like the Ulysses of hair. Thank you pumamanredux for posting this 5 minutes of pure awesome.
